NEW MEN’S MINISTRY   God continues to move in South Hampton Roads, and He has recently expanded the ministry of CPC. Please pray for the new men’s abortion recovery ministry small group currently meeting. We pray He will bring complete restoration to these men who seek healing, hope and wholeness after abortion.

FATHERS’ HEARTS   Please pray for our Heavenly Father to work in the hearts of the men involved with the women we serve. These dads have a significant impact on the decisions made by our clients. We pray these men will boldly embrace their role as fathers and commit to raising their children.

Gosnell Found Guilty

After deliberating for nine days, the jury found former Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of three babies born alive during illegal late-term abortions.  Gosnell was also found guilty of multiple other crimes, including involuntary manslaughter, infanticide, conspiracy, abortion of pre-born babies older than 24 weeks and violation of informed consent of an abortion.

 

The judge has set next Tuesday for the start of the penalty-phase hearing.

Sheila Easter is a phenomenal volunteer with a bright outlook and strong attention to detail. She is quick to share her beautiful smile, she makes everyone around her laugh, and she exudes absolute love and tenderness. Her background in education makes teaching and greeting “her girls” by name look effortless. She also seeks out ways to bless and develop personal relationships with the volunteers under her supervision. Sheila is devoted to her job and has become a very important part of the smooth operation of our center in Portsmouth.

Our friend Nigel rocked The Virginia Zoo on Saturday at the Walk for Life - thank you to everyone who supported the Walk for Life this season! We're still tabulating the results, and we can't wait to share an update with you soon.

While we wait...

Two dear friends of the ministry, Zach Hardison and Nigel Anderson (pictured at CPC's Pre-Walk Rally), are hosting a special event on Sunday, May 5th, at 6 p.m. at the Granby Theater (421 Granby Street, Norfolk).

The Zach Hardison Band's release concert will be a party for Jesus. Nigel Anderson and Renaissance Movement, as well as Robb Esperat, will also perform God-honoring music.

This will be a great event for youth and adults alike. There's a $5 per person cover charge, as well as options to purchase a 25- or 15-person VIP Balcony for you and your guests. Plus, they're raffling some awesome prizes - you don't want to miss the party!
